The team at South Brisbane and I are passionate about our work with children, their families, and our educators. We enjoy building partnerships with our families and staff to ensure the very best care and education is delivered to every child attending our service. I am also passionate about inquiry-based learning; an approach that builds on the interests of the child and is facilitated by our knowledgeable Educators.

About the Centre

Edge Early Learning South Brisbane centre provides quality care and education for children 6 weeks to school age, in the heart of South Bank. The multi-storey long daycare centre was purpose-built around our educational program and celebrates the interests of all children.

We included large circular windows, giving children a view of the city and encouraging them to inquire and investigate the outside world, and as one child spies a passing fire truck the opportunity for a new lesson arises! The South Brisbane early learning centre features 4 levels with state-of-the-art resources and spacious play areas equipped with climbing forts, bike tracks, sandpits, water-play stations and more! Our wonderful indoor/outdoor environment ensures outdoor play and communal mealtimes are never impacted by the weather.

Growing at South Brisbane

We are focused on building a welcoming and learning community, where our educators’ walk with children’ on their learning journey. We pride ourselves on our centre, not just being educators and children; but being a family.

At Edge South Brisbane childcare centre, our qualified Educators deliver an inquiry-based kindergarten program focused on learning through play and discovery. With a focus on successfully transitioning your children to school, we offer onsite cooking classes, language classes and activity-based lessons to support physical literacy.

Cooking Classes

Our onsite cook, Esther, is passionate about teaching children how to cook different foods such as pizzas, dumplings and even cookies to take home to their loved ones. The children enjoy spending time in the kitchen and experiencing the different foods that Esther takes time to present in new and exciting ways – including fruit shaped as cute animals!
